This is similar to the issues 3rd party developer tool vendors had on Windows. C++ visual studio mac. Most of the native Windows Developer Tool vendors are gone.
Oh, solved it. I found this link, which said:
You need the CineForm codec, available for free at:
For a while, the GoPro Studio app installer was included as part of the GoPro Quik installer package, but it has been removed as of version 2.4. If you're using GoPro Studio to edit and create your GoPro footage, you have the option to export them in either the H264 or GoPro CineForm formats. How to used GoPro hero 3 3D footage in the free GoPro Software. I am using a Mac but should be universal on all computers.
Apparently, the Cineform app only supported these codecs: CFHD, Linear PCM, and Timecode. So this Cineform codec (formerly called Neo Player) fixes the problem by including a QuickTime and a Windows decoder.
This codec enabled me to see the video in iPhoto as an event. Then iMovie could see all the events in iPhoto, so I was able to shorten the clip and add titles. Actually, I have to say I was pretty pleased how it all came out.
I also found out there is a GoPro user forum at http://goprouser.freeforums.org/mac-f8.html
Hope this helps those who follow behind me..

Well, you shouldn't use it in FCP..you should edit ProRes and then export as Cineform. It won't just 'show up' in FCP or as a preset in Compressor. What you have to do is apply a preset, like a ProRes one, and modify it, then save it as a new preset. The Cineform codec is listed, but you have to go into the ENCODER part of the INSPECTOR, then click on VIDEO: SETTINGS and find it there..like this:

Debugging unit tests.; 4 minutes to read Contributors. In this article. One of the most significant benefits to unit testing inside Visual Studio is the ability to debug your code during a test, and to debug the tests themselves. Visual studio for mac debug unit test. I'm running Visual Studio 2017 Mac version 7.3 (build 764). The tests run from the Unit Test pad just fine (green circle and console output happens if I add output), but the debugger doesn't break when I set a breakpoint or expicitly throw an exception in the test.
So convert to ProRes, edit, export a Reference QT, or Send to Compressor..and compress to Cineform.
